It has to be said – Cheltenham really is a photogenic town. It’s not just the Georgian crescents and the rows of cute independent shops and cafes, it’s also the surrounding hills and countryside.

Whether you’re a Cheltenham native wanting to see your hometown through new eyes or you’re a newcomer, you need to know where the best spots for some stunning Insta action are.

Pittville Park and Pump Room

Pittville Park is one of five Cheltenham parks with a Green Flag award and is one of the must-do attractions for visitors. There’s an amazing playground for kids on the eastern side which offers some great camera opportunities, as well as the boating lake on the western side.

You can hire rowing boats for some watery camera action, to head to the pitch and putt ground before finishing up with a few shots of your coffee at the Boathouse Cafe.

Sandford Park and Sanford Park Lido

Something of a hidden gem tucked away at the end of the High Street, this attraction is bound to give you some serious inspo, so grab your camera and get snapping.

The Regency architecture

It’s not a spot as such, as you’ll find these gorgeous Georgians everywhere, so when you see one which really takes your fancy, whip out your phone or camera and capture it.

The Neptune Fountain

Neptune in his fountain is a big crowd pleaser along The Promenade, so be ready for some posing in front of this Greek god and his seahorses! This fountain is thought to be an homage to Rome’s Trevi Fountain although this has never been made certain.

Montpellier

When you get to the top of The Promenade, you’ll find lots of boutique shops, bars, cafes and wine bars to get creative in and around. A particular favourite is the architecture on the Ivy Montpellier Brasserie.

Cheltenham’s street art

There’s lots of it about, but to bag a snap of the iconic Cheltenham sign you have to walk or bike along the Honeybourne Line. Alternatively, you can wander about the town and capture any graffiti that catches your eye.
