The south west’s annual rent inflation was one of the UK’s lowest
The annual rent inflation in the UK was the lowest in the south west, as well as in Yorkshire and the Humber, with both regions seeing a rise of 6.3% from September 2023 to September 2024.
London, somewhat predictably, saw the largest rise, with rents costing 9.8% more in September 2024 than they did in September 2023. The UK’s lowest rent in September was in the north east, at £688 per month.
